The Challenge: Severe Moss Accumulation
When we arrived at this property in Cambridge, the homeowner was worried about the heavy moss burdening their roof. Thick carpets of growth had accumulated, making the home look tired and increasing the risk of frost damage and blocked gutters.
The extent of the growth was significant. Using a specialised low-pressure cleaning technique, we were able to gently rinse away the buildup without the need for abrasive scraping. On the front elevation alone, this process removed over six heavy-duty bags of saturated moss and organic debris; lifting over 60kg of weight from the roof structure.

The Solution: Our Safe Cleaning Approach
Because the tiles were delicate, high-pressure washing was not an option. Instead, we used our safe, proven 2-stage restoration process:
Low-Pressure Clean: We gently rinsed away the heavy moss and grime using a specialised low-pressure system. This cleans the tile deeply without the abrasion of scrapers or the risk of high-pressure jets.
Biocide Treatment: Once clean, we applied a professional soft-wash solution to kill any microscopic spores and lichen left in the tile pores.
The Result: A roof that looks almost new, fully protected against rapid regrowth for years to come.
